"Your visions will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakens."

- Carl Gustav Jung

Dr. Julie Rhodes

With a passion for integrative medicine and a commitment to personalized care, I strive to empower my patients to take an active role in their healthcare decisions.  By fostering open communication and collaboration, I aim to guide them towards achieving optimal health and wellness.

Through active listening, thoughtful questioning, exam findings, and comprehensive lab analysis, I attempt to understand the root cause of your concerns. Together, my patients and I collaborate on the development of individualized treatment plans that are both economical and sustainable. My approach integrates various modalities, including dietary interventions, herbal remedies, movement therapies, stress management techniques, and, when necessary, medications.

My journey into integrative and functional medicine was deeply influenced by my experience supporting my mother during her battle with ovarian cancer. Witnessing firsthand the transformative power of holistic approaches such as nutrition, physical activity, stress reduction, and the cultivation of spirituality further solidified my commitment to this field.

Through this experience, I gained a profound understanding of the importance of human connections and the healing potential they hold. While my mother's passing caused me immense grief, it also served as a poignant reminder to cherish each moment and approach life with gratitude. I learned that it's okay to embrace vulnerability and seek support, as strength doesn't always mean bearing burdens alone. Recognizing the brevity of life, I realized the futility of dwelling on trivial matters or negative emotions like resentment, emphasizing instead the value of love, compassion, and living authentically.

I have earned a Doctoral degree in Naturopathic Medicine from the National University of Natural Medicine, and two Master’s degrees in health and physical activity, along with integrative mental health. After graduation, I completed a rigorous 2-year clinical residency specializing in gastrointestinal health and primary care. This comprehensive training equips me to address a wide range of health concerns across all age groups, from adolescents to seniors, utilizing the latest medical advancements.

As a licensed naturopathic doctor in Washington, I offer telehealth clinical consultation visits, ensuring that individuals have access to high-quality care regardless of their location.
